Paying for goods in crypto is legal in many countries and banned in others. The shop follows those bans, adds its group's sanctions list, and pauses three countries until a legal check. Each rule below comes with its date and source.

**Quick answer — In which countries can I buy game top-ups with crypto?**

**CryptoGameTopUp** sells in most countries, including the Philippines, Malaysia, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, India, Nigeria, the United States and the European Union. It does not sell in 16 countries that ban paying for goods in crypto, such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and Turkey, nor in 7 sanctioned countries. Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE are paused. Rules checked on 22 October 2026.

## Which countries ban paying for goods in crypto?

The shop does not sell in these countries. Each row names the rule and its date as published by the regulator or summarized by law firms, read on 22 October 2026; this is a summary, not legal advice.

| Country | Rule | Instrument and date |
| --- | --- | --- |

| Thailand | Licensed operators may not facilitate crypto payments | SEC notification, in force 1 April 2022 |
| Turkey | Crypto assets may not be used in payments | Central bank regulation, Official Gazette 16 April 2021 |
| Bangladesh | Crypto dealings banned in practice | Bangladesh Bank circular, September 2022 |

Bolivia lifted its ban on 26 June 2024 and is not on this list.

## Which countries are excluded for sanctions?

Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Russia, Belarus, Syria and Yemen, plus the disputed territory of Western Sahara. These exclusions apply across our group of sites, whatever local law says about crypto. Russia would be excluded anyway: its 2026 law keeps the ban on crypto payments.

## Why are Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE paused?

Because their rules on paying merchants in crypto were unclear when we checked them, and we prefer a pause to a guess.

- **Pakistan** passed a Virtual Assets Act in 2026 and lets banks serve licensed firms from April 2026, but merchant payments are not addressed.
- **Saudi Arabia** does not recognize crypto and licenses no one to offer it; we found no criminal ban.
- **The United Arab Emirates** limits payment for goods on the mainland to licensed dirham payment tokens, according to sources we could not yet confirm.

We will lift or confirm each pause after a legal review, and record it in the [changelog](https://cryptogametopup.com/changelog/).

## Where is the shop open?

Everywhere else, within the [acceptable use policy](https://cryptogametopup.com/acceptable-use/). Some markets matter more to players of the games we sell:

- **Philippines:** crypto is legal and regulated. A 2021 central bank circular says that tokens used only inside an online game are not virtual assets.
- **Malaysia:** crypto is legal but not legal tender, according to a 2018 central bank statement.
- **India:** crypto is not banned, though it sits in a heavily taxed grey zone. Free Fire itself has not relaunched there; Free Fire MAX is live.
- **Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Nigeria:** we found no prohibition on paying merchants in crypto. Brazil regulates crypto service providers.
- **United States and European Union:** crypto payments are allowed; consumer law applies to every order.

This list describes the rules we apply. It is not legal advice for your own situation.

## What about age?

For adults only: you must be 18 or older to buy, in every country. 18 is the age of majority in all the markets above; the UAE moved from 21 to 18 on 1 June 2026.

Brazil goes further for digital services. Its child-protection law, Law 15.211/2025, took effect on 17 March 2026: it bans loot boxes in games aimed at children and teenagers, and it rejects self-declared age where age checks are required. We sell no loot boxes and no products aimed at minors, and we are reviewing how the age rules apply to our checkout.

## How is my country checked?

At payment, from the country of your connection, and from the game's region when the authorized channel returns it. An order from an excluded country is refused before payment.

Using a VPN or someone else's account to order from an excluded country breaks the [acceptable use policy](https://cryptogametopup.com/acceptable-use/) and leads to account closure.

## Country questions

### I live in Indonesia. Can I buy with a foreign account?

No. The rule follows where you are, not where your exchange account is. Ordering from Indonesia is refused.

### My country is not listed anywhere. Can I buy?

Yes, unless a new rule appears. We check the list at least monthly and record changes in the [changelog](https://cryptogametopup.com/changelog/).

### Why is Bolivia not excluded?

Its central bank lifted the ban on 26 June 2024.

### Does the game's region matter?

Only for delivery: the package must exist on your server. The country rule follows where you pay from.
